Meeting called to order @ 7:35 by President Steve Worthley

Review of minute from Sept meeting. Motion to except minutes made by Rich Z and seconded by

Ron. Motion passes unanimously.

Steve makes motion to go out of order and let guest Tom Streton address members of the up coming Cronin Tournament.

Motion passes. Tom asked if there was any truth to the rumor that SYH would not be making a donation to the Cronin

Tournament this year. Steve asked who he had heard that from and John Hatches name was mentioned. Steve called and left

a phone message for John to call Steve ASAP. Steve as well as all board members took exception to the allegation and told Tom

to date no one from the Cronin Tournament had spoken to any e-board member about a donation. Steve asked for a short recess to speak to Tom out in the hall. Steve came back and informed members he would be leaving to go to the rink and address the donation. Steve passed on the chair for the remaining to V.P. Ron Ruszkowski.

Presidents Report. The wrestling night was a great time and $700 was made from tickets sales.

Vice Presidents Report. Ron will be holding a CPR and Defib certification training class for all interested coaches.

Cost will be $7.00 to cover testing and cert card. Class will be Wed night 10-08-08 at the public safety building in the training room.

Treasures Report. Not preset (had a midget game)

Secretaries Report. Reminded head coach that the coaching cert class are posted on USA hockey and that all coaches must be patched by 12-31-08. Inform directors to follow up with coaches.

Ethics. Joe was questioned about why 2 midget half season players have been roster on the full season team. Explanation was made by Dave Aiken and if anyone had any further questions in regards to the matter to please address the e-board direct. As far as e-board was concerned this is a dead issue and has been explained many times how and why it was done.

Bantam Director. Dana has been approached by many parents about the placement of the team in the Valley League. A team meeting will be held in the near future. Dwayne has been in contact with the Valley inreards to moving this team down to be a more competitive playing level. Dwayne has made numerous attempts by phone and e-mail to have this done. Dave will send Steve an e-mail asking he get involved and call the Valley himself.

Peewee Director Two players have been moved from the PW B to the PW A team as full time players.

Clinic Director. Need to confirm day and time of Learn to Skate. Dates for registration will be posted on the SYH web-site as well

Mite Director Mite A team has called up 3 full time players the B and C team have 11 players each. No more movement till we have an instructional team to pull players off. Cross Ice coach has stepped down but Pat believes he has a replacement willing to take over. Looking to make an instructional team out of the two cross ice teams. Pat to work with Leaguer Rep Kevin Nigro to place the instructional in the NSHL in early Jan.

Equipment Director Nothing at this time. Needs a list of any name tags needed.

Fundraising. Canning set for Nov 8^th CoCo keys Nov 7^th. Dave to e-mail Steve in regards to setting up pictures.

Ice Coordinator. Has practice ice for first two weeks of Nov waiting for remainder of month will post what he has. Ice time will decrease week of Thanksgiving due to high school camps. SYH practice ice will go down to around 7-8 hours per week once Saugus High starts. Looking into available hour on weekend to get back to our 12-13 hours per week...

League Rep. Kevin handed out spread sheet of games missed that need to be made up. Make up games are the responsibility of the canceling coach. We will be charged for game weather we play or not.

New Business

It was brought up that parents having been asking why we have no handed out trophies the past few years. The idea was put forth to get the lower level kids (mite-Squirt) trophies and the upper level kids t-shirts. Cost to be looked into. Also look into having a banquet with a sit down diner again cost to be looked into and reported back to the e-board.

Avon Fundraiser with 40% being donated back o SYH. Lucia to run with this.

Fred Moore told everyone of a Tournament in Worchester that can book teams from Mite C up to Bantam. Fred will ask coaches

If they are interested in playing. Other than that coaches will be on their own in booking a tournament.
