Minutes of the Board of Directors Monthly Meeting
July 11, 2007
Call to order- Pres. John Whitlock calls meeting to order at 7:43 P.M. a quorum is present. Minutes from meeting on June 5, 2007 are amended to show meeting started at 8:10 P.M. and Bill Cross' name should be removed from the attendance list. Minutes are accepted as amended.
Presidents Report- Names of volunteers are taken for player selection and bylaw committees. Committees are named as follows:

E-mails will be set up for those members that are interested. Please contact me if you are interested. Thank you to the coaching selection committee for the recommendations for coaches at the PW level. Thank you to all applicants for coaching and B.O.D. positions. Congratulations to all coaches and B.O.D. members that have been named for the upcoming season. I have received great feed back for Instructional Teams. A birth certificate will be required for instructional registration.
Secretary- Thank you to the coaches selection committee. This is a very tough process and was handled very professionally.
Fundraising- Will push the banner this year. This has been a great fundraiser in the past and has risen between $7,000 and $10,000 in past years. Canning will be set up soon. There was discussion of placing a stand back at Founders Day. A discussion took place concerning placing donation jars in various businesses throughout town. We would like to get more involved at the Cronin Tournament. Other ideas were, possibly selling advertising on the boards at Kasabuski Rink and other fund raisers at various restaurants in town.
Equipment Manager- $2,400 is approximately required to purchase new socks. Bill Cross makes motion to appropriate funds for new socks. Funds are appropriated unanimously. Will need approximately $300 for new first aid kits. Will need money for new goalie equipment and new shirt bags.
League Rep- E-mailed Valley League about adding Squirt C team for upcoming season. Talk of adding Midget team to Valley League.
Squirt/PW Director- Will contact all coaches about CORI forms and Level of patching.
Mite Director- Is making attempts to find coaches for Instructional teams. Will conduct a Mite Instructional registration and evaluation session at the end of August.
Bantam/Midget Director- Would like to stay informed of possibly having a Midget team this season.
Clinic Director- Talk of rate increase and possible additional charge for out of town participants.
New Business- Bill Granara and Steve Worthley are named Sergeant at Arms to collect and count votes for coaching positions at the PW level. John Morey is selected as Head Coach of the PW A team. Rich Zabroski is selected as Head Coach of the PW B team. Ron Ruszkowski is selected as Head Coach of the Mite C team. Ken Patterson is selected as Head Coach of the Squirt B team. Discussion was held about possible organization wide trip to Lake Placid.
Motion to Adjourn- Bill Granara makes motion to adjourn at 9:10 P.M. Ron Ruszkowski seconds motion. Motion carries unanimously. Meeting is adjourned.
